Privacy Policy

Hey, Let's Talk Privacy

Look, we get it - privacy policies can be a real snooze-fest. But here at Jade Quinta Vine, we actually care about your info and want you to know exactly what we're doing with it. We've been designing buildings in Vancouver for years, and just like we wouldn't cut corners on a project, we don't mess around with your personal data either.

This policy's gonna walk you through what info we collect, why we need it, and how we keep it safe. No legal jargon overload, promise.

What We Collect & Why

When you reach out to us or check out our work, we might collect a few things:

  • Basic Contact Stuff: Your name, email, phone number - y'know, so we can actually get back to you about that residential project you're dreaming about.
  • Project Details: If you're working with us, we'll need info about your property, budget range, timeline, and what you're hoping to build or renovate.
  • Communication Records: Emails, meeting notes, sketches you send us - basically anything that helps us nail down your vision.
  • Website Analytics: We use cookies to see how folks use our site. Nothing creepy, just stuff like which pages you visit and how long you stick around.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device info - standard web stuff that helps us keep the site running smooth.

How We Use Your Information

We're not selling your data to random companies or anything sketchy like that. Here's what we actually do:

Project Work

Creating designs, getting permits, coordinating with contractors - all the nuts and bolts of bringing your architectural dreams to life.

Communication

Responding to your inquiries, sending project updates, scheduling site visits - keeping you in the loop throughout the whole process.

Legal Obligations

Sometimes we gotta keep records for regulatory stuff, building codes, or professional standards. It's part of being a legit architectural firm in Canada.

Improving Our Services

Analyzing what works and what doesn't, so we can keep getting better at what we do.

Who We Share With (Spoiler: Not Many People)

We don't just hand out your info like flyers on the street. But sometimes we need to share with:

  • Project Partners: Engineers, contractors, consultants - the folks who help us execute your project. They only get what they need to know.
  • Legal Requirements: If the law says we gotta share something, then yeah, we'll comply. Court orders, government requests, that sort of thing.
  • Service Providers: Our website host, email service, cloud storage - trusted companies that help keep our operations running. They're all bound by confidentiality agreements.
  • With Your Permission: If you want us to share your completed project in our portfolio or with the media, we'll always ask first.

Keeping Your Data Safe

We take security seriously - like, really seriously. Our systems are protected with:

  • Encrypted connections (that little padlock in your browser bar)
  • Secure servers with regular backups
  • Password-protected access (no, we don't use "password123")
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Limited staff access - only team members who actually need your info can see it

That said, nothing's 100% bulletproof online. We do our best, but if you're sending super sensitive stuff, maybe give us a call instead.

Your Rights (Yeah, You've Got 'Em)

Under Canadian privacy laws, you've got some solid rights:

Access: Wanna know what info we have on you? Just ask. We'll show you.

Correction: If something's wrong or outdated, let us know and we'll fix it.

Deletion: Want us to erase your data? We can do that, unless we're legally required to keep it.

Objection: Don't like how we're using your info? You can object and we'll work something out.

Portability: Need your data for something else? We can give you a copy in a usable format.

Cookies & Tracking

Our website uses cookies - not the chocolate chip kind, unfortunately. These are tiny files that help the site remember you and work properly. We use them for:

  • Keeping you logged in if you have an account
  • Remembering your preferences
  • Understanding how people use our site (via Google Analytics)
  • Making sure the site loads properly on your device

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but heads up - some parts of the site might not work as smoothly.

How Long We Keep Your Stuff

We don't hoard data forever. Here's the general breakdown:

  • Active Projects: Throughout the project duration plus 7 years (professional standards requirement in BC)
  • Inquiries That Don't Go Anywhere: About 2 years, then we delete 'em
  • Marketing Emails: Until you unsubscribe or we haven't heard from you in 3 years
  • Website Analytics: Typically 26 months, then it's automatically deleted
  • Financial Records: 7 years (tax law requirement)

Third-Party Links

Sometimes our website links to other sites - supplier catalogs, building resource pages, social media profiles. Once you click away from our site, this privacy policy doesn't apply anymore. Those other sites have their own policies, so give 'em a read if you're concerned.

Changes to This Policy

We might update this policy now and then - new laws, new tech, new ways of working. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and post the new version here. For big changes, we'll probably shoot you an email or put up a notice on the site.

Kids' Privacy

Our services aren't aimed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you're a parent and think your kid's given us their info, let us know and we'll delete it ASAP.

Questions? We're Here

Filing a Complaint
